Private capital investment in Mexico is projected at USD 7.5 billion for 2026, as reported by Reforma. The figure confirms the country’s position as a priority destination for funds, family offices and strategic investors looking at North America.
Drivers
- Regional integration. Nearshoring and the Plan México agenda aim to strengthen productive capacity, attract investment and add value domestically while improving regional competitiveness.
- A deeper local market. Mexican institutional investors, private debt funds and family offices are participating more actively alongside international capital.
- Middle-market demand. Mid-sized companies need growth capital and credit that traditional banks do not always provide.
Capital is not enough
Abundant capital does not guarantee good outcomes. Capturing the opportunity requires sector expertise, deep local insight and disciplined execution: understanding cash flows, structuring collateral and governance correctly, and aligning investors and owners for the long term.
Our role
Borax Capital connects real estate developers, investors and mid-sized companies with the right sources of capital, and structures the credit, equity and governance that make those transactions work.
