The AMEXCAP Private Capital Summit took place on March 17 and 18, 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City under the theme «We invest in Mexico’s future». It had 643 participants, including 157 limited partners and 162 general partners, and 20 conferences, panels and masterclasses with 78 speakers.
The agenda covered the macroeconomic outlook, infrastructure, private credit mechanisms, exits through the capital markets, the 2026 USMCA review, pension fund and insurance company allocations to alternative assets, and binational funding structures.
Why it matters
The participation of pension funds and insurers in alternatives is what gives depth to local private credit. Every peso that these investors allocate to debt funds can become financing for companies that do not reach the stock exchange.
